SAY WHAT?!?
Do you see the little critter on the left? This is my nephew Ian Tyler. He is a gem of a kid. He has a deep, serious voice laced with slight speech problems. When he speaks he often has something thoughtful or insightful, especially to a 4-year old, to say. He doesn't waste his words. So the other day he decided to educate his aunt about ants. It wasn't a topic of discussion but maybe it was in his little universe. He tugged at me and kept saying over and over, "Tia, tia, tia..." (That's Spanish for aunt.) I finally looked down at him.
"What Ian?"
"Tia, sugar ants eat sugar!"
"Wow, is that what they really eat?"
"Yes," he replied authoritatively. "And fire ants eat fire!"
I had a good chuckle.
He is a darn sweet kid.
